Virgin to hold routes?

UK-based Virgin Atlantic Airways is offering London, UK-New York, USA round trips for as little as GBP259.

Chief executive officer Steve Ridgway said that as demand falls, the carrier would prefer to cut capacity than drop routes.


The airline will celebrate 25 years in the air this year with a series of cut price fares including the GBP259 New York offer, formerly offered at GBP319; GBP339 to Los Angeles, reduced from GBP399 and GBP297 pounds to Dubai, down from GBP349.
