An environmentalleader.com report says Boeing's commercial airplanes will be certified to fly on 100 per cent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by 2030 to address the challenge of climate change.
Today, SAFs are mixed with conventional jet fuel up to a 50/50 blend.
Boeing says it first will determine what changes are required for its current and planned commercial airplanes to fly on 100 per cent sustainable fuels and then work with regulators and the industry to achieve its aim.
