Belarusian flag-carrier Belavia has a new general director, with former marketing director Igor Cherginets replacing airline chief Anatoly Gusarov.

The airline also is planning to replace its B737s with Embraer 195-E2s and four 737 MAX 8s.

Modernisation of the fleet will be accompanied by network expansion.
