Australia's Qantas is offering its customers unlimited flight changes (branded Fly Flexible) until early 2022 in an effort to encourage confidence in its domestic market, which has been hit by on-again, off-again border closures and quarantines.
It also has launched a one million seat airfare sale to 55 destinations.
Qantas Group chief customer officer Stephanie Tully said: “By giving customers unlimited flight date changes for almost a year, we think it will encourage more people to book, helping to boost tourism which is so vital to local economies and businesses around the country.”
The Fly Flexible policy applies to all new domestic flight bookings for Qantas and QantasLink plus trans-Tasman services booked from now until at least the end of April.
Qantas also is improving in-flight food and beverage options for customers, including complimentary beer and wine for economy passengers on domestic and regional flights as well as hot meal options on major capital city routes and shorter routes (from March).
On the ground, most of the 35 Qantas Club and Business Lounges across Australia and its Chairman’s Lounges have reopened.
