Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group has negotiated extended delivery terms with Airbus and Boeing, with deliveries spread out beyond the immediate five years.
This will enable the airline to defer more than S$4 billion of capital expenditure between FY20/21 and FY22/23 to later years.
It also will affect the speed at which the group adds capacity as it recovers from the disruption to demand caused by Covid-19.
In addition to spreading out aircraft deliveries, SIA also has converted 14 B787-10 aircraft orders into 11 B777-9s.
