GCCEC holds bridal expo, its first 2021 event

Australia’ s Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) hosted its first event of the year last weekend. Your Local Wedding Guide Bridal Expo brought together a large number of local wedding exhibitors and more than 1,400 attendees on Sunday.
The event, which has been held at GCCEC for 15 years, was held across two halls under the venue’s Site Specific Covid Safe Plan.
Current regulations required an adjusted floor plan, allowing for the regulated two metres square per person and wider-than-usual aisles so guests could explore the event while safely social distancing.
Adrienne Readings, general manager GCCEC said: “Our team has become very familiar with the mechanics of creating Covid-safe event environments, having welcomed more than 40 events to the centre since July.
“We’ve partnered with clients to host all types of events, combining the current regulations with event expectations to deliver positive outcomes. It’s great to see the community coming back in big numbers to the events.”
