GainingEdge adds research unit

Convention industry consultancy GainingEdge has launched a new internal unit, GainingEdge Analysis and Research (GEAR), aiming to expand and improve the quality of research available to international convention destinations.
GEAR will focus on new market intelligence and insights into the dynamics of the global meetings industry.
Jon Sivertson, ceo GainingEdge said the vision for GEAR is to fill a research gap in relation to both the convention industry and the association community.
“Our industry has never really had a dedicated research unit,” Sivertson said. “We were struck by the lack of real quantitative analysis available to support quality decision-making processes."
