UK commentators have expressed amazement that a disease that has caused more than 120,000 painful deaths in their country and for which a series of vaccines now are available could prompt such a negative reaction.

 

The UK - with thousands of new infections diagnosed daily and hundreds of deaths - currently wants all adult residents to be offered the vaccine by end July.  Already, more than 17 million doses have been administered.
