Unpaid leave at Japan Airlines

Japan Airlines has joined other Asian carriers by asking cabin attendants, cockpit crew and ground staff in Japan to apply for one or two months of unpaid leave starting next month.  The airline flew 17.6 per cent fewer international passengers in November.

Philippines budget carrier Cebu Pacific is to take delivery of six new planes - three Airbus A320s and three ATR 72-500s - that will enable it to carry 9.3 million passengers this year.
