The Alaska Air B737 door plug 'may not have been secured'

The investigation into why a 'door plug' on an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 blew out mid-flight on January 5 is focused on four bolts that should have held the panel in place. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) wants to know if the bolts fell off 'during the event' or if they were never installed to begin with.
