Travel technology company Travelport and Air India confirmed they have extended and expanded their multi-year distribution agreement to include New Distribution Capability (NDC) content and servicing.

Lisbon-based Star Alliance carrier Tap Air Portugal says it nearly doubled operating profit to EUR266 million in the third quarter, with operating margin excluding special items at 22 per cent.

Revenue was about 13 per cent higher at EUR1.26 billion.

JetBlue to add Edinburgh route

Edinburgh Airport will welcome JetBlue from May to September in northern summer 2024, the carrier's first-ever route from Scotland to New York, USA.

The daily flights will use an A321neo.

BA switches Avios rewards

British Airways (BA) Executive Club members are switching from a miles-based Avios rewards program to one where British Airways-marketed flights credited to Executive Club will be awarded as follows per qualifying British pound (GBP) spent: Blue status members: 6 Avios, Bronze 7 Avios, Silver 8 Avios, Gold 9 Avios.

Other airlines already have made similar moves.
