US aviation now employs more than a million staff

Despite media coverage focusing on the failure of the industry to bounce back from Covid-driven staff shortages, the airline trade body Airlines for America (A4A) says the US airline industry now employs more than one million people - and according to the US Department of Transportation (DoT), US passenger airlines are now employing the largest workforce in nearly 23 years.
