Ahead of a white knight bailout in the form of a 51 per cent share buy by the owner of S7 airline, reports from Russia say the country’s Transaero has been grounded by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency because of safety concerns.
The Russian news agency TASS said earlier this month that Transaero had filed for bankruptcy owing US$3.9 billion.
