Britons smash domestic day trip records

The UK's VisitEngland says locals took 1.35 billion day trips in England - and spent GBP45.3 billion - in the first 11 months of 2016, setting new records.

VisitEngland ceo Sally Balcombe said: “There is nowhere like England when it comes to incredible experiences on your doorstep.”
