AirAsia X adds Xi'an direct

Malaysia's AirAsia X has added direct flights between Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Xi’an in China.


This new service is the carrier's fifth destination in China, joining Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Chengdu and AirAsia X ceo Benyamin Ismail said his was the only airline with direct connections between KL and Xi’an.

“Flourishing economic cooperation between Malaysia and China, bolstered by visa-free initiatives, makes us confident that this route will be a hit with leisure travellers.

"It will also significantly boost tourism and trade opportunities for both countries,” he said

To celebrate, between April 15 and 21, 2024, one-way flights from Kuala Lumpur to Xi’an will be offered for MYR488.

The promotional fares are valid for immediate travel until March 31, 2025.
