Asia Pacific traffic nears 90pc of pre-pandemic levels

The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) says March 2024 traffic results show the region's airlines carried 28.2 million international passengers, a 37.5 per cent increase from the 20.5 million recorded in March last year. 


In the first three months of this year, Asia-Pacific airlines carried 82.4 million passengers, equal to 88 per cent of the 93.5 million they carried in the first quarter of pre-pandemic 2019. 

The international passenger figure was 28.2 million (89 per cent of the 31.7 million transported in March 2019), AAPA said.
