TTG Asia Media, organiser of the annual IT&CMA and CTW 2010 mart scheduled for the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre in October has reassured delegates that the show will take place as scheduled. The venue is located in the same building complex as the CentralWorld shopping centre which was damaged by fire during the recent political unrest. IT&CMA communications spokesperson Chloe Quek said: "Bangkok Convention Centre and Centara Grand have informed us that with the exception of some residual damage due to smoke and water affecting some parts of the property, the venue is structurally sound, refurbishment and repair works will be completed and the facility re-opened for business by 01 June. The hotel and exhibition area was unaffected by the fire. In the unlikely event that the premises will not be available for use, we have secured an alternative venue in Bangkok to ensure the show moves ahead as planned 05-07 October."
