AIAADE to stay at Avalon

Australia’s Victorian state government has given organisers of the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition (AIAADE) guaranteed use of Avalon Airport until at least 2015.

Victorian premier John Brumby says today’s announcement provides certainty for participants of the AIAADE.

He described the Airshow as a great aviation event that the government was determined to keep in Victoria and at Avalon Airport.

The 2011 Airshow will be the tenth event staged at Avalon Airport since the first Airshow was held at the venue in 1992.

Avalon 2011 will be held from 01-06 March at Avalon Airport, near Geelong.
