BA strikes continue

UK carrier British Airways appears not to have been able to reach agreement with the Unite union and as a result, faces the third of three five-day walkouts from Saturday.

A statement from the airline told passengers: "We are very disappointed that Unite are continuing to take strike action up to June 9th.

"We will continue to do all we can to minimise the disruption to you.

The survey, by insurance company LV, said second worst-hit travellers were those on Virgin Atlantic flights, with one in 8.3 having luggage problems.Overall, LV said, 29 per cent of passengers suffered lost, damaged or delayed luggage in the past five years.
