The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has launched legal action against Malaysian low-cost long-haul carrier AirAsia X, claiming the airline has failed to disclose the full amount of fees and taxes in advertised fares from Australia.
A number of international airlines say they would be interested if the Indian government proposal allowing them to take up to 49 per cent stakes in Indian carriers is given the green light.
Vietnam's government says Jetstar Pacific will remain an independent carrier despite all local shares -now held by the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) - being transferred to national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.
Australia's Incentive Association (IA) has expressed disappointment at being excluded from Australia's major incentives and meeting mart, AIME, with the mart opting instead to acknowledge other Incentive bodies and to continue its preferred relationship with what AI describes as the smaller and less representative organisation SITE.
