The new Saudi airline Riyadh Air has placed an order for 39 Boeing 787-9 jets, with options for 33 more, while state-owned Saudia, (formerly Saudi Arabian Airlines), has ordered 39 of the wide-body jets - a mix of B787-9s and 10s - with options for an additional 10.

Oxford Economics says its latest research indicates tourist arrivals into the Asia-Pacific region could reach 50 per cent of pre-Covid levels this year and fully recover in 2025 or 2026.
Bonza signs dnata catering deal

Dubai-based Emirates catering and aviation services firm dnata has won a multi-year contract with Australian startup Bonza to deliver the airline’s on-demand, 100 per cent Australian-made in-flight products, including quality meals, beverages and snack items.
To do this it will work from a new facility near the carrier’s base at Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) – a first for the airport.
