Team Global inks seven-year Texel deal

Australian logistics firm Team Global Express has partnered with Texel Air Australasia and will see four 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) aircraft with Team Global Express livery operated by the Auckland-headquartered airline on an ACMI basis.

The four jets will replace B737-300 and B737-400 aircraft and the seven-year deal is worth A$480 million, the partners say.

The jets will enable more morning pick-ups.

Team Global Express Group chief executive Christine Holgate said: “The new planes contribute towards a 20 per cent improvement in cargo capacity ... and the partnership supports our new e-commerce product, which offers customers unrivalled speed across a single network.”
