Maersk to launch Zhengzhou-US route

Maersk is launching a three-times-weekly Chicago-Rockford International Airport (RFD)-Zhengzhou, China route using the Boeing 767-300F it freed up by temporarily suspending flights from Shenyang, China, to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) via Seoul in South Korea from June 1.

The Shenyang-GSP flights are expected to resume in August and for the moment Maersk will either feed cargo through RFD or use other carriers to satisfy importer and exporter customers that use GSP.

Maersk expects soon to have two B777 freighters in addition to its current 21 Boeing 767-200 and 767-300 freighters.
