Cathay ramps up cargo capacity

Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific has ramped up its freighter schedule to peak season levels and introduced two extra B777 passenger/freighter aircraft (taking its fleet of passenger aircraft with seats removed to six).
Chief customer and commercial officer Ronald Lam said demand is buoyant "both from our home market ... and from across our network".
The airline says it carried 124,278 tonnes of cargo and mail in August, an increase of 21.7 per cent compared to August 2020, but 23 per cent lower than the same month in 2019.
