SIA Group cargo posts 52.4pc loads for July

In July 2023, the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group’s cargo operations posted a load factor of 52.4 per cent, or 8.1 percentage points lower year-on-year.

Cargo loads declined by 7.1 per cent year-on-year due to weaker demand, while capacity expanded by 7.3 per cent as increased passenger services resulted in higher bellyhold capacity.

Scoot resumed flights to China’s Jinan and Shenzhen in July, while services to Australia’s Gold Coast were suspended as the airline adjusted its capacity in response to demand.
