Etihad buy raising concerns?
European reports say the acquisition by Gulf carrier Etihad Airways of a stake in Air Berlin is likely to upset the neighbours."Lufthansa sees the Gulf carriers as its biggest threat," said one analyst. Air France-KLM and IAG (British Airways-Iberia) also are affected by the buy.
Etihad will pay a reported US$95 million to increase its stake in the European carrier to 29.2 per cent.
