Maersk pulls out of Schenker bidding

Citing integration challenges, AP Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has pulled its bid to buy DB Schenker.

The shipping giant said it had assessed the strategic fit of the company into Maersk and concluded that integrating it into the company would be too difficult.

The decision leaves only DSV, Saudi shipping company Bahri and CVC's private equity consortium in the bidding for Schenker, which is being sold by Deutsche Bahn to reduce its debts.
