Australia's international scheduled freight traffic in October 2012 increased by 2.9 per cent over October 2011 to 76,743 tonnes, according to the latest BITRE data from the Australian Department of Infrastructure and Transport. Inbound freight traffic decreased by 0.4 per cent and outbound freight traffic increased by 9.1 per cent compared to October 2011.

Bellinder new United Cargo sales vp

Jim Bellinder UnitedJim Bellinder has been appointed vice president, sales for US-based carrier United Cargo, reporting to United Cargo president Robbie Anderson and responsible for all global sales activities.

Bellinder comes to his new role with 26 years' experience in Continental Airlines and United Cargo sales.
He began his airline career as a cargo general sales agent in Chicago, then progreessed through to regional sales director.

In 2005, he became Continental Cargo's director of cargo sales - Americas.

In January 2011, following the United-Continental merger, Bellinder asssumed the same role at United Cargo.
