The Virgin Australia group of airlines (Virgin Australia Holdings Limited and its controlled entities) has reported a net profit After Tax of A$51.8 million for the six-month period ending 31 December 2011, an improvement of 118 per cent on the prior corresponding period. The company reported an underlying net profit before tax of A$96.1million, a 34.4 per cent improvement.
