Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for seven Airbus A350 freighters to add to its existing fleet of five A350-1000 passenger aircraft.

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has extended its cargo handling contracts with Turkish Airlines in North America's Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston.
In Dallas, it has commenced handling services for the airline’s four B777 passenger flights to Istanbul. The new contract at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport will begin in March and will see WFS handle 3-4 freighter flights per week plus daily B777 passenger services to Istanbul.

San Francisco-based forwarder Flexport has signed a multi-year contract with Pennsylvania-based Eastern Air, which is converting 35 B777s to carry lightweight e-commerce and apparel, cosmetics, protective medical equipment and electronics shipments.

Dnata has contracted Lödige Industries to supply its new cargo terminal at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
It is scheduled to become operational in 2024.
The event takes places at the NEC Birmingham from 14-16 June, 2022 and is free to attend for visitors.
Two separate automatic storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) with twelve stacker cranes will be used in the terminal for import and export. Some 2,500 pallets will be stored there. Additional storage for up to 700 ULDs is served by four elevating transport vehicles (ETVs).

IAG Cargo says Valentine's flower weights carried up by 23 pc

IAG Cargo has transported 538 tonnes of flowers across its network in time for Valentine’s Day this year, plus a special shipment of eight tonnes of champagne from London to the Maldives.
Flower shipments are up 23 per cent by sold tonnes from 2021, with tulips, roses, carnations and chrysanthemums proving most in demand.
