China to stop airlines carrying cargo in cabins

Despite ongoing rising demand for e-commerce space, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) will stop the country's domestic airlines using cabins to carry cargo - except Covid-specific medical items - from January 1 2022.

Robert Keen (pictured), director general of the British International Freight Association (BIFA), has been elected secretary general of the presidency of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), while two members of the BIFA Board have been confirmed as chairs of FIATA’s institutes.
Keen joined the industry in 1970 and worked for a succession of forwarders before joining BIFA in 1999. He was appointed an executive director of the association in 2009, before becoming director general in 2014.
