As Covid rages in Hong Kong, the pandemic has hit the local trucking market to and from the mainland, with forwarders estimating a 70 per cent cut in truck capacity, mainly due to truckers isolating after being found positive after Omicron tests.

Carriers are facing record fuel costs and having to fly for longer with lower load factors to avoid Russian airspace by taking longer routes through Asia.
