The company’s 21,000 sq ft eCommerce fulfilment centre (EFC) in Kwai Chung has been equipped with an automatic guided vehicle (AGV) and an intelligent racking system, plus associated operating software to improve the efficiency of operations and reduce costs.

Antoine Pretin has joined Geodis as vice president engineering group and will oversee the growth in automatising the company’s service offerings.
Pretin, 38 and an engineer, began his career in 2007 as a project manager at Sidel Cermex.
"Faced with the acceleration of e-commerce and new consumer demands, the automatisation of logistics warehouses is an essential response to handle growing flows in an ever-shorter timeframe,” said Pretin.
