PayCargo boosted by US$35m investment

PayCargo, the payments network for the global supply chain industry, has confirmed a US$35 million investment led by global venture capital and private equity firm Insight Partners.
PayCargo will use the capital to expand global adoption of its electronic payments network and accelerate investments in its technology.

Kirsten de Bruijn (pictured) has joined Qatar Airways Cargo as senior vice president, Cargo Sales and Network Planning.
She joins from Emirates SkyCargo, where she spent four years as vice president cargo, pricing and interline. IAG adds B787 four times weekly to Lahore

IAG Cargo will operate a new B787-8 direct service from the UK to Lahore, Pakistan from October 2020.
The service will run year-round, four times per week from London Heathrow.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has released data for global air freight markets in August showing that improvement remains slow amid insufficient capacity. Demand moved slightly in a positive direction month-on-month; however, levels remain depressed compared to 2019. Improvement continues at a slower pace than some of the traditional leading indicators would suggest. This is due to the capacity constraint from the loss of available belly cargo space as passenger aircraft remain parked.
