January better for airfreight - IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says January performance data showed strong airfreight growth compared to a year ago.

Global freight tonne kilometres (FTKs) rose 4.5 per cent, significantly higher than the 2.2 per cent year-on-year growth rate recorded in December and well above the 1.4 per cent full-year growth reported for 2013 compared to 2012.
