Buttigieg rendered 'speechless' by airline suit

US Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg says a lawsuit by major airlines concerning the new rule that requires airline companies to reveal extra fees on purchases has left him "speechless".

“We just issued a rule requiring airlines to inform passengers, before they buy a ticket, of fees they will charge,” Buttigieg said in a social media post.

“Now, the airline lobby is suing us."

The airlines said passengers would be 'confused' because they already have access to the information covered by the new rule.
