Perth Airport working on flights backlog

The fuel load pressure issue in the refuelling system that grounded 59 domestic and international flights at Perth Airport has been fixed and on the weekend, airlines were working to clear what was described as a "significant backlog of flights".

"We continue to monitor the situation," an airport spokesperson said.

Some flights were diverted to other airports including one flight from London, which was forced to land in Karratha in WA's north.

Affected passengers were advised to check flight status with their airlines before heading to the airport.
