American Airlines' cabin crew 'closer to strike action'

The US's Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA), the union representing flight attendants for American Airlines Group, has asked its members to prepare for strike action after contract negotiations with the carrier broke down.

APFA said the National Mediation Board (NMB) - which is overseeing the talks - will bring the sides together for a "last ditch effort" in the next few days.
