Big week for Hanoi and Vietjet 

Vietjet has operated its inaugural A330 flight between Hanoi in Vietnam and Melbourne, Victoria in Australia ahead of the launch of services to Sydney, New South Wales later this month.


The twice-weekly Melbourne return service to Hanoi will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, departing Melbourne at 0730 and touching down in Hanoi at 1440 on the same day.

Melbourne Airport's Jim Parashos said Vietjet’s Hanoi service will complement its current five times a week service to Ho Chi Minh City and give Victorians new connections into countries like India as well as other Asian destinations.

Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide already have Vietjet services to Ho Chi Minh City.
