FTI Touristic collapses

Under-a-cloud German travel combine FTI Touristik has collapsed, telling passengers: “All travel with a departure date up to and including Friday, 5 July 2024 is cancelled.”


Offshoot firms Youtravel.com and Meeting Point International are in limbo while the FTI insolvency is sorted out.

FTI says Youtravel.com is not insolvent and is “working actively” on its future. 

Some transfers and excursions were organised by FTI Meeting Point, which was headquartered in Munich but had a range of subsidiaries across Europe and the Middle East.

Many affected customers will be reimbursed by Europe's passenger protection schemes.
