Singapore Airlines to offer fastest London-Sydney time

UK airports with one-stop connections to Sydney will be re-evaluated from Saturday 22 June – when Singapore Airlines starts flying from London Gatwick with a transfer time of 55 minutes in Singapore and a total time of 21h40m.


The change is because the most direct route - over Russian airspace - is not possible because of the Ukraine war.

Flights in reverse, from Sydney to the UK, are slower because of prevailing winds, but again Singapore Airlines is tops with a time of 22h40m (but to London Heathrow, not Gatwick).
