Airbus says 'door not closed on the A380'

European plane maker Airbus says it could resume production of the Airbus A380, saying "the door is closed, but it is not locked".

Launched in 2005, 250 of the jets were sold, with the last one delivered to Dubai-based Emirates in late 2021. 

Airbus's Christian Scherer has however pointed out the chances of a comeback for the four-engine A380 aircraft are 'extremely slim'.
