Gatwick in GBP1 billion upgrade

Gatwick Airport has revealed a GBP1 billion plan to transform the airport over the next two years and deliver new, modern facilities at every step of passengers' journey through Gatwick.

From next month, passengers will have access to a new inter-terminal shuttle and a brand new multi-million pound extension to the airport's North Terminal.

Further improvements will follow as the airport moves to make itself a more relevant competitor to Heathrow.
