PCOA adds training packages

The Professional Conference Organiser Association (PCOA) in Australia has developed a series of training packages for members who do not have formal industry qualifications, and are not eligible under the Recognition of Prior Knowledge (RPK) or Standard Entry criteria.

The new training modules allow members to apply for accreditation and also earn credit towards a nationally recognised qualification, such as a Diploma of Events.


The Training and Accreditation Package allows members to study at their own pace, in their own time and includes six units of competency from the Diploma of Events.


These units of competency are also included in the Event Management Training Program to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre 27-28 July.


Since its launch in 2009, the PCOA accreditation program has been very successful, with more than 55 members from Australia and New Zealand accredited as Certified Event Managers.
