IAPCO threatens members with standards axe

The International Association of Professional Conference Organisers (IAPCO) has threatened to expel members who do not comply with strict membership criteria.

New president Philippe Fourneir said: "IAPCO stands for quality and we have to ensure that all our members maintain the standards and criteria by which they entered the Association, how ever many years ago that may be.”

Five members allegedly have failed to comply with the strict quality criteria in place and Fournier has warned expulsion is a possibility.

“If non-compliance continues, we will be reviewing their membership.  We are not just going to get tough, we are tough!”
