Spirit says fees change 'just the beginning'

The US's Spirit Airlines has scrapped change and cancellation fees, meaning passengers will save between US$69 and US$119.

“This new policy is among the best in the industry because it applies to each and every guest,” Spirit said in a statement.

“We have many other enhancements in the works and look forward to sharing more soon.”
A few days ago, BTN reported US budget carrier Frontier Airlines also scrapped change and cancellation fees, but only for its top fare classes.
