Qantas, Jetstar to fill Vanuatu gap

Australian sister carriers Qantas and Jetstar are to operate up to nine return flights per week between Australia and Vanuatu.


Qantas will fly three B737s between Brisbane and Port Vila from 10 September 2024, with the ability to increase to five per week based on demand, while Jetstar will fly up to four weekly A321neoLR services between Sydney and Port Vila from 12 December.

The flights will deliver more than 150,000 new seats each year between Australia and Vanuatu, which recently lost its own airline, Air Vanuatu.
