MAS loses MYR300m

Malaysia’s Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has reported a net loss of MYR300 million (US$88.9 million) for Q3 on the back of fuel-hedging losses of MYR202 million.

Revenue for the quarter fell 28 per cent to MYR2.9 billion, hit by cuts in ticket prices and MAs said it will soon have to raise ticket prices.


It carried 3.3 million passengers in the third quarter, the highest figure since early 2008.
