Jetstar move to hit Air Pacific?

Qantas’s low-cost carrier Jetstar has confirmed plans to fly from Australia to Fiji daily from next April, putting pressure on Virgin Blue arm V Australia's planned entry to the route and also on Air Pacific, part-owned by Qantas.

Media speculation is that Qantas will soon exit its stake in Air Pacific.


Qantas initially declined to comment on a recent meeting between its chief executive Alan Joyce and Fijian ruler Frank Bainimarama.
