Emirates tips USA recovery within a year

UAE-based Emirates expects to reinstate Airbus 380 flights from Dubai to New York, USA in the first six months of 2010 ‘after the market rebounds’.

The airline started New York service with the aircraft in April of last year, but pulled it two months later and replaced it with the smaller Boeing 777 as demand fell.

Ceo Tim Clark says Emirates also is interested in expanding to other US cities including Washington, Seattle, Boston and Chicago, but he doesn't expect the airline will add new US destinations any time soon.
