Jetstar announces interline program

Australia’s Qantas affiliate Jetstar is introducing an international interline ticketing program that will start with 10 international airlines. Sister carrier Qantas will be first.

The plan will utilise Jetstar’s budget Australian and Asian services so that, for example, a European carrier’s German passenger could fly to Singapore and then from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City with Jetstar Asia or Singapore to Darwin with Jetstar’s Australian operated services.

Jetstar now operates to nearly 50 destinations across the Asia Pacific region, including 20 within Australia.
